The
new roadster , developed jointly by Mazda and FIAT and which will be
based on the new MX- 5 will be sold by the Italians under the brand
Abarth.
Until recently it was thought that the model will come in the range of
Alfa Romeo, but FIAT boss Sergio Marchionne made an interesting
explanation on the topic.At the Geneva Motor Show , he revealed that Alfa Romeo cars will be
manufactured only in Italy, but a detailed plan for the development of
the brand will be presented in June.According
to the agreement between Mazda and FIAT platform of the new MX- 5 will
be used by both companies, the new roadster will be built in Japan. In both new cars will be identical , however, only the chassis - the design and engines at Mazda and Abarth will be different. Start of production of the new roadster is planned for 2015 .
